Girls Effect launches Campaign For HPV Vaccination in Ondo State

The Girls Effect on Wednesday, launched the OYA Campaign, an initiative aimed at increasing awareness and access to the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine for adolescent girls.
The Country Director of Girls Effects, Boladele Akin Kolapo emphasised the Renewed determination of their organisation to reach all girls in Ondo State, raising awareness on prevention against HPV, teaching our girls healthy practices to secure their health and integrating Nutrition to ensure their overall health.

The Governor Of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa represented by Prof Simidele Odimayo, Special Adviser to Mr Governor on Health, appreciates Girls Effect for supporting Government to secure the health of Girls in Ondo State.
Also Speaking, the Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women affairs and social development, Mrs Seun Osamaye noted that the Aiyedatiwa Led Administration is committed to securing the health of every child in Ondo State regardless of their gender by ensuring they have access to health care services.
She lauded Girl Effect NGO for the OYA Campaign of HPV Vaccination, Protecting girls against cervical cancer, reiterates Government’s Unwavering Supports to development partners to drive change and protection of girls.
The Permanent Secretary Ondo State Primary Health Care Development Agency (OSPHCDA), Dr. Francis Akanbiemu who was represented by Dr Victor Adefesoye, highlighted several achievements of Ondo State government in the health Sector commending the Aiyedatiwa-led administration for Ondo state coming 1st among participating states in the Southwest in Previous Vaccination Campaign.
The event held at Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development Skills Acquisition Centre Hall, Alagbaka, Akure had in attendance, The wife of Akure South Local Government Chairman, Mrs Bosede Fasua, Mr Amadi, WHO rep, Ondo State CAN Chairman, Traditional leaders, Market Women, Secondary Schools Students, Civil society groups and Stakeholders.
