Gov Aiyedatiwa Commissions Ondo investment house, says no room for abandoned projects

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has reiterated his administration’s commitment to create an enabling environment for business growth and development.

The Governor made this emphasis at the commissioning ceremony of the investment house in Akure, on Thursday.

According to the him, the concept of this building was first proposed by his predecessor, late Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, stressing that his vision was to create a one-stop shop for investment activities, thereby promoting ease of doing business in Ondo State.

He noted that the Investment House will serve as a hub for economic activities and investment promotion, providing a conducive environment for both public and private sector partnerships.

He opined that the strategic location of the building in the heart of Akure will facilitate unhindered access for investors, thereby opening up Ondo State to the global investment community.

Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasised that there will be no room for any abandoned projects in the State.

” I am proud to say that Ondo State is now better positioned to compete favorably with other states in Nigeria, in terms of attracting investments and promoting economic development”.

While appreciating the stakeholders involved in the building, appreciating their resilience and commitment towards it’s reality, Governor Aiyedatiwa charged the occupants to ensure that the facilities provided are judiciously utilized and maintained.

Speaking at the event, Engr. Olawoye Ayorinde Abiola, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Infrastructure, Lands, and Housing, expressed gratitude to the governor for equipping the youth with the necessary tools for innovation and entrepreneurship. He noted that the governor’s vision is focused on positioning Ondo State as a thriving investment hub while enhancing human capital development and enterprise-driven initiatives.

In his goodwill message, the Administrative Secretary, Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), Barr. Emmanuel Omomowo noted that the new structure represents Ondo State’s growth and readiness to welcome more investors.

In attendance were; The Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, Chief of Staff, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Head of Service, Mr Bayo Philip, Director of Cooperate Service, NDDC, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde, traditional rulers, among other top government officials.
