By Precious Oluwole

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has attributed his Supreme Court victory to the grace of God, declaring that only divine intervention made it possible for him to triumph.

Speaking during a special thanksgiving service held at the government house chapel, the Governor expressed profound gratitude to God for seeing him through the political and legal battles.

He also thanked the people of Ondo State for their steadfast support, stressing that the victory at the Supreme Court belonged to the people and not to him alone.

“I return all glory to God Almighty for granting us this victory. Without His mercy and favour, this would not have been possible. I also thank the people of Ondo State for standing by us throughout the election and the court process”.

He said that he will always recognize God in his ways, adding that gratitude attracts more blessings. He pledged to rule with the fear of God and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every citizen.

In his sermon, drawn from the book of John 1:7 and John 3:16, the Governor emphasized the centrality of light and love in the life of every believer, adding that salvation is a gift made possible through Christ’s sacrifice, and believers must never take such love for granted. He stressed that only by accepting this love can one experience eternal life and peace.

He pointed out that when Christians demonstrate love, compassion, fairness, and truth, society will be transformed for the better. He therefore urged the church to be a beacon of hope and a model of righteousness in their communities.

He assured the congregation that his administration would continue to uphold the principles of justice, fairness, and equity, which are reflections of God’s love and light, urging everyone to go forth as ambassadors of Christ, carrying His light to every corner of the world.

“You must believe and walk in His light, pray and not be tensed”, he concluded.
