Gov Aiyedatiwa presents official vehicles to LG chairmen for effective service delivery

In a bid to put the Local Government chairmen on track immediately, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Monday, presented official vehicles to the Local Government chairmen across Ondo State.
Speaking at the Government House during the handover ceremony, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting local councils, emphasizing that the vehicles are essential tools to enhance their efficiency in serving the people.
“We believe in Local Government administration and autonomy. We will do all we could to support you. This administration prioritises grassroots development, and we are determined to support the local government system in every way possible.”
“We believe that you have a lot of work to do and you must be equipped. You vehicle is not for luxury, it is for you to do your work effectively and efficiently “.
He congratulated the Chairman on their successful inauguration, urging them to remember the reason their people voted for them.
Earlier, the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami noted that the Governor has demonstrated that he is a worthy leader, and that Ondo State will experience a new dawn. He added that the governor would fulfil all his promises to the people.
Adelami, whose office oversees local government affairs noted that the vehicles would enable the newly elected chairmen to commence work immediately.
Speaking on behalf of other Local Government chairmen, Hon. Gbenga Fasua from Akure South, appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for the kind gestures, pledging that they would make good use of the vehicle and always remember that they are servant – leaders.

Olamide Oladiji, Special Adviser to the Governor on Union matters and special duties, Comrade Bola Taiwo, Director General, OSRC Media group, Mr Kenneth Stevenson Odusola, Chairman, Ondo SUBEB, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan.
