Governor Aiyedatiwa vows to ensure students’ safety in Ondo State

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has vowed that his administration shall ensure the safety students across the State.

The Governor made this vow on Saturday at the 2025 edition of KidsCon organised by Mrs Funmi Bankole in collaboration with Ondo State Government, held at FUTA.

He commended the organiser of the event for providing the platform for the children to express and enjoy themselves.

The Governor encouraged the students to know who they are, as they are wonderfully and fearfully made by God and they are His children.

“You are the heritage of the Lord, you are a blessing, a gifts, you are not just children to your parents, you are a gift to them”.

“It is my duty as the Governor to protect you and I assure you that you that I will provide an enabling environment for your academic career, I’ll ensure that your going out and coming in is secured and all of you will be treated equally”.

“I urge you to go with the confidence that God is your father and He will protect, guide and nurture you. Embrace disciplines, be serious with your academics, obey your parents and the law of the land, by the time the responsibility lies on your shoulders, you will be up to the task, you are the future leaders of this State.

“It doesn’t matter where you are, focus on where you are going to, take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way, be attentive, study, interact with your peers, and you will get there.

Earlier in her address, the organiser, Mrs Funmi Bankole appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa for his love for the children of the State, noting that KidCon is an annual event and this year’s marks the 14th edition.

She added that the purpose of the event is for the children to have fun and enjoy themselves, showcase their talent and help their growth and connect.

The event featured various activities including cultural display, choreography, songs performance, drama, by the students.

In attendance were: Traditional rulers and Students from different private and public primary and secondary schools.
