The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has expressed confidence in the newly appointed Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), Kayode Opeifa, describing his appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his expertise and achievements in the transportation sector.

In a congratulatory message dated January 22, 2025, and signed by MARAN President Godfrey Bivbere on behalf of the association, the group commended Opeifa’s outstanding track record and academic qualifications, emphasizing their potential to positively influence his new role.

“As a highly accomplished transport expert of repute, we are confident that your wealth of experience and academic qualifications will positively impact your new role,” the statement read.

The association highlighted Opeifa’s impressive achievements, including his tenure as Commissioner of Transport, where he exhibited exceptional leadership, intellectual brilliance, and a strong work ethic.

MARAN also expressed optimism about Opeifa’s ability to bring transformative change to the NRC, given his vast experience and commitment to advancing Nigeria’s transportation sector.
