NAGAFF President Applauds Supreme Court Judgement On Kano Guber Poll

The President, National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Ezisi has applauded the decision of the apex court, the Supreme Court in Abuja over their nullification of the decision of the Appeal Court declaring Haruna Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress winner of the March 25th 2023 governorship election over the Independent National Electoral Commission’s declared winner, Abba Yusuf of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP).

Chief Ezisi while expressing joy equally commended the Judiciary system for taking a bold step to see that the wish of the people has been made manifest with this verdict by the Supreme which reinstates Mr. Yusuf as the officially and authenticaly elected Governor of Kano State.

The judgement in which NNPP and NAGAFF members has assuresly be waiting since last year has finally bought smile to faces maritime stakeholders. Adding that he hopes that the good people of Kano State will now be given the opportunity to get the real dividends of democracy that they have yearned and worked for at the polls.

He completely felicitates the governor, Mr. Abba Yusuf and the people of Kano State as well as the founder of the party, Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam who is also the founder of NAGAFF.

It is noted that while delivering judgement on Friday, the chairman of the Supreme Court Panel responsible for the electoral matters, Justice John Okoro returned Mr Yusuf’s 165,616 votes, which the lower tribunal invalidated and deducted from the votes cast in his favour. This action automatically gave the Mr. Yusuf the unassailable lead that granted him victory.

Before now, NNPP and NAGAFF had a nationwide prayers asking God Almighty to give the judges the courage to deliver the judgement with in favour of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
