As Nigeria celebrates her 65th Independence Anniversary, the Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has urged citizens at home and abroad to rededicate themselves to the values of unity, diligence, and patriotism.
In his goodwill message to mark the occasion, Akinlosotu described Nigeria as a resilient nation that has continued to stand tall despite challenges, owing to the sacrifices of the founding fathers and the determination of the people.
“This day calls for sober reflection, renewed patriotism, and a stronger resolve to move our nation forward,” he said.
The Commissioner commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his Renewed Hope Agenda, which he noted is laying the foundation for economic transformation, national integration, and a brighter future for Nigerians.
He also lauded the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, praising his people-centered governance and development-driven initiatives which, according to him, have positioned the Sunshine State as a beacon of growth and stability.
Akinlosotu emphasized that the Independence Day celebration should inspire Nigerians to work collectively toward the actualization of the nation’s dreams.
While wishing the country and Ondo State continued progress, Akinlosotu said “together, we can actualize the Nigeria of our dreams”.
