Ondo Artisans Shine At NATEF 2025, Win Raffle Prize At Day Two Of Conference

Artisans from Ondo State made their mark on the second day of the Nigerian Artisans and Technicians Exhibition & Fair (NATEF 2025), held at the Velodrome of the National Stadium, Abuja, with active participation in training sessions, exhibitions, and competitions.

Tradesmen including tailors, welders, carpenters, and furniture makers took part in hands-on workshops that blended live demonstrations with technical guidance.

The sessions were aimed at updating participants with modern practices, promoting peer learning, and encouraging collaboration across trades.

The exhibition segment of the event drew wide attention, as artisans showcased locally crafted products, innovative designs, and technical creativity. Organisers explained that combining training with exhibitions was intended to sharpen artisans’ skills while connecting them to broader market opportunities.

National executives of the Artisans and Technicians Association of Nigeria (ASNAT), led by Comrade Adeshina Akinyemi, were in attendance, though the day’s activities centred on empowering participants at the grassroots through interactive engagements rather than speeches.

A major highlight came when Ondo State artisans won first place in the raffle draw, an achievement organisers described as a testament to their resilience and competitive spirit.

With additional workshops and cultural showcases scheduled in the coming days, the fair continues to serve as a platform for skills development, innovation, and national integration among Nigerian artisans and technicians.
