The Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has congratulated the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the people of the state at home and in the diaspora as the state marks its Golden Jubilee on February 3, 2026.
Akinlosotu described the 50th anniversary as a significant milestone that reflects five decades of resilience, growth, and a shared destiny among the people of the Sunshine State.
According to him, the celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on the journey so far while renewing collective commitment to unity, development, and progress.
He paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers of the state, traditional rulers, community leaders, public servants, and patriots whose sacrifices and vision laid the foundation for Ondo State’s existence and advancement.
The commissioner noted that their selfless contributions continue to inspire present and future generations in the pursuit of peace, unity, and shared prosperity.
The commissioner also commended the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, acknowledging what he described as purposeful governance and notable achievements under the current administration.
He said the governor’s focus on industrial revolution, infrastructural development, economic growth, and the welfare of citizens is steadily repositioning Ondo State for sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
Akinlosotu expressed optimism about the future of the state, stating that the next chapter of Ondo’s journey promises greater unity, innovation, and inclusive development across all communities.
He wished the state and its people a happy 50th anniversary, expressing confidence that greater heights lie ahead for the Sunshine State.
