By Jimmysayo Adebiyi

The Chief of Staff to the Ondo State Governor, Prince Olusegun Omojuwa, has been honoured with the Distinguished Leadership Award as the Ondo State Man of the Year 2025 by The Democrat News Magazine.

The event, which formed part of the magazine’s 7th anniversary celebration, was held at the OSDPC Event Centre, Japo Estate, Akure, and attracted dignitaries from within and outside the state.

In his acceptance speech, Omojuwa described the award as a recognition of the achievements of the Aiyedatiwa-led administration rather than a personal accolade. “This award is undoubtedly testimony to the positive impact of our policies and programmes on the lives of our people,” he said.

He commended Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his visionary leadership, noting that the state’s EASE Agenda had transformed key sectors. Omojuwa dedicated the award to the governor and the people of Ondo State, promising to continue working towards sustaining growth and development.

The Chief of Staff also praised the resilience of The Democrat News Magazine for surviving despite the economic and media challenges facing the industry.

Other award recipients included Dr. Fadekemi Jogbodo, first female President of ANCOPSS Ondo State; Hon. Kayode Taiwo Samson, Chairman of Akure East LCDA; Evang. Oluwasola Ajayi, MD of Glofes Petroleum; and Hon. Mayokun Akinmoladun, CEO of Platilium TV, among others.

Earlier, the Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ondo State, Mr. James Adekunle, delivered a lecture on national unity, urging Nigerians to see diversity as a strength rather than a weakness.
