A Governorship Aspirant under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party in Ondo state Otunba Benson Akingboye has described himself as a political heavy duty vehicle that is capable of crushing oppositions and win the primaries come April, 2024.

Akingboye disclosed this in an interactive session organized by the State Working Committee (SWC) members and leaders of the Party, with aspirants jostling for the party’s Guber ticket.

Akingboye expressed confidence in the party’s capacity to win the governorship election in the face of hunger and anger in the land orchestrated by the All Progressives Party (APC).

According to Akingboye all Aspirants were in high spirits and commitment to support whoever emerge as flag bearer of the party.”

” I am confidence of picking the party ticket and the Consensus arrangement of the party will definitely favour me among others in the race”.

The aspirant who popularly know as OBA disclosed that he has been a member of the party since 1999 compared to other aspirants in the contest who have been on and off from the party but his commitment and total loyalty to the party gave him assurance of picking the governoship ticket.

Akingboye stressed that PDP remains the best political party to drive home his ambition and because of the peculiarity of the state, he will pick the party ticket at the primaries”.

He said that the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) consensus arrangement would be put in place to pick a standard bearer that will fly the party’s ticket in the November 2024 governorship election.

Meanwhile the Acting State Chairman of the party, Basorun Tola Alabere assured the aspirants that, the PDP is desirous of a consensus arrangement for picking a standard bearer, noting that if it fails, the party will organise a free, fair and transparent party primary.

Alabere, stated this during an interactive session organized by the State Working Committee (SWC) members and leaders of the Party, with aspirants jostling for the party’s Guber ticket.

According to him aspirants jostling for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket for the November, 2024 governorship election have been invited to an interactive session with State Working Committee (SWC) members and leaders of the party.

The State Publicity Secretary, PDP, Ondo State, Kennedy Ikantu Peretei made this know to journalists after meeting with the Aspirant at the party Secretariat Akure.

Alabere said that the Aspirants expressed confidence in the party’s capacity to win the governorship election in the face of hunger and anger in the land orchestrated by the All Progressives Party (APC).

He said that all the Aspirants were in high spirits and gave firm commitment to supporting whoever emerges as flag bearer of the party.

Governorship Aspirants who attended the interactive session include;
H.E Agboola Ajayi, Chief Olusola Ebiseni, Engr. Adeolu Akinwunmi, Prince John Mafo, Otunba Benson Akingboye(OBA), Hon. Sheba Abayomi and Arebuwa Bosun.
