Ondo NUT commissions new shopping complex

The Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) in Ondo State inaugurated a modern shopping complex in Akure, marking a significant milestone for the union.

During the ceremony, Chairman Comrade Victor Amoko emphasized that the complex represents more than just a physical structure—it embodies innovation, quality, and service aimed at enriching the local community.

Comrade Amoko highlighted the challenges overcome during the project’s journey, emphasizing the determination and collective effort that led to its realization.

He expressed sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the venture, underscoring the profound significance of the occasion in fostering a vibrant and dynamic community.

Acknowledging the pivotal role of teachers, Ondo State Governor Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa praised their resourcefulness and commitment to shaping destinies.

He assured continued support for the union and announced plans for new teacher recruitment, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to improving workers’ lives.

Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), commended Comrade Amoko’s exemplary leadership and encouraged other branches to emulate the project’s success. Representing the National President, Comrade Akogun Gabriel Olusanya expressed gratitude for the project’s realization and praised Comrade Amoko’s vision for the NUT in the state.

State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) Comrade Clement Fatuase applauded the Governor’s efforts and lauded Comrade Amoko’s leadership. The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including cabinet members and other prominent figures, who expressed their admiration for Comrade Amoko’s achievements and pledged their support for the union’s endeavors.
