Ports authority police command pledges support for MARAN

The Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, has reaffirmed the command’s commitment to supporting the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) and its leadership under President Godfrey Bivbere.
During a visit by MARAN executives to the command’s headquarters in Apapa, Lagos, on Thursday, CP Maikaba commended the association for its responsible journalism in covering maritime affairs and the activities of the police command.
Speaking at the meeting, MARAN President, Mr. Godfrey Bivbere, emphasized the association’s willingness to collaborate with the command.
He assured the CP that MARAN would continue to highlight the command’s achievements, recognizing its crucial role in securing Nigeria’s maritime sector and facilitating international trade.
In response, CP Maikaba expressed appreciation for the association’s visit and pledged to maintain a cordial working relationship with MARAN, underscoring the importance of media partnerships in strengthening maritime security.
