“We’ll partner with NPC to make life easier for Ondo residents”- Gov Aiyedatiwa

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has pledged to work with the National Population Commission in order to make life easier for the people of the State.
The Governor made this pledge while playing host to the management of the National Population Commission, Ondo State Office on Monday.

He noted that the National Population Commission will help the government to make adequate plans that will bring benefits to the people. “We depend on comprehensive data as government to be able to implement our various projects and programs”.
“We will support you in any way we can to have optimal performance that will reach the nooks and crannies of the State, that will be inclusive enough to carry everybody along”.
He pleaded with the commission to try to make comprehensive data from time to time, in terms of age, occupation, location and the whole society can benefit from the present administration, stressing that his administration would continue to do more for the people of Ondo State.
Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated the Commissioner on her nomination, confirmation and resumption of office.
Earlier in her remarks, the Federal Commisoner, National Population Commission, Ondo State Office, Mrs Olukemi Iyantan congratulated the Governor and his Deputy on their successful inauguration, stressing that their coming on board is a divine arrangement.
She described her visit as a way to familiarize herself and pay homage to the Governor as the new Federal Commisoner, National Population Commission, in Ondo State.
“The commission is involved in vital registration of birth and death, which goes a long way with population. We’re involved in census, we generate a comprehensive data for the government to help rural areas benefit from government’s policies.
“There will be a synergy between you and the commission in order to help you to bring a life of ease for the people. The National Population Commission is not just a figure head, we have our purposes”.
In attendance were; Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, Chief of Staff, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Head of Service, Mr Bayo Philip, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Prof Simidele Odimayo.
