@85: Governor Aiyedatiwa celebrates Seinde Arogbofa

The Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has celebrated an elder statesman, Basorun Seinde Arogbofa, OFR, on the occasion of his 85th birthday anniversary.In a statement signed by the Governor on Saturday, he said “On behalf of the good people of Ondo State, I congratulate a steadfast elder statesman, distinguished patriot, and a great Nigerian, Basorun Seinde Arogbofa, OFR, on the occasion of his 85th birthday anniversary.”As one of the founding fathers of our dear State, we owe Pa Arogbofa and other visionaries like him a great deal of gratitude for their foresight, courage and sacrifices that gave birth to what we are today as a State.”For decades, Pa Arogbofa has continued to make significant contributions to the social, cultural, economic and political growth and development of our State and Nation and has continued to set a high standard in inspiring generational leaders in our land.”Sir, we are inspired by the incredibly simple life you live with such humility, devotion and selflessness and we can’t but continue to appreciate all the efforts you put toward the betterment of the society. “As a teacher and an accomplished author, you have impacted knowledge on many and as a community leader, you have given a greater part of your life to serving the people.”You have never shied away from sharing your wisdom with us whenever there is the need to seek solutions to our challenges and many of such fatherly interventions of yours have steered us on the path of peace and progress.”We cherish those invaluable contributions you have made to national development, which include the struggle for the restructuring of the polity to strengthen our federalism and promote social justice, peaceful co-existence and national unity.”We are indeed delighted to join your family, friends and well-wishers from far and near to celebrate with you today and we all pray for more strength, sound health and peace as you mark this milestone”.
