Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, will on Monday, August 24, flag off the construction of a flyover bridge along Oyemekun-Oba Adesida Road in Akure.
According to a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Saturday, the flag-off ceremony will take place at 11:00am at Cathedral Junction, Oba Adesida Road, Akure.
The project, which will run from Adegbola Junction to St Mathias/NNPC Filling Station, is expected to address perennial traffic gridlock, improve vehicular movement and enhance the aesthetics of the state capital.
The flyover is a key component of the Aiyedatiwa administration’s OUR EASE agenda, aimed at providing people-oriented infrastructure with direct impact on residents.
Members of the State Executive Council, traditional rulers, community and religious leaders, as well as other stakeholders, are expected to attend the ceremony.
