Akeredolu, SSG, Others visit Speaker over mother’s demise

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON, today paid condolence visit to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun over the death of his mother, Chief (Mrs) Mary Asake Oleyelogun at his hometown, Isarun in Ifedore Local Government area of Ondo State.
The Governor and members of the State executive council were welcomed by the Speaker, his family members and some lawmakers.
Arakunrin Akeredolu applauded the lawmakers for their continuous support to the speaker, stressing that they are his immediate family.
While praying for strength for the speaker the strength to bear the loss, Governor Akeredolu noted that irrespective of his mother’s age, her death is a loss.
Governor Akeredolu congratulated the speaker and his family for surviving their mother, urging them to celebrate her as she had lived a fulfiled life and passed on at a ripe age.
He further assured the speaker of his support as well as his cabinet’s and the state government’s for his mother’s burial.
In his reaction, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun appreciated Governor Akeredolu and his team for deeming it fit to pay him a condolence visit.
Oleyelogun also appreciated the Governor Akeredolu for always standing by him and for giving him an enabling ground to strife, describing him as a very great leader with rare acts.
He described his late mother as an hardworking, God fearing and prayerful woman and would greatly miss her for her advice and prayers.
Governor Akeredolu was escorted by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladuuni Odu, Chief of Staff to Governor Akeredolu, Chief Olugbenga Ale, Ondo State Head of Service, Pastor Kayode Ogundele, commissioners, Special Advisers, among others.
