Adeniyan renews support for children of late journalists, widows

The Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, has renewed his commitment to the welfare of children of late journalists and female journalists who are widows in Ondo State.

Adeniyan reaffirmed the commitment on Friday as the support initiative entered its eighth edition, aimed at assisting the beneficiaries ahead of the new academic session.

He said the gesture was brought forward because schools are expected to resume next week, stressing the need for the beneficiaries to receive the support ahead of resumption.

The initiative has become a sustained intervention by the Chief Press Secretary in support of the children of late journalists and female journalists who are widows in the state.

The early presentation is expected to enable the beneficiaries to prepare for the new school term without waiting until after schools have resumed.

The gesture also demonstrates Adeniyan’s continued concern for the welfare of families of deceased journalists and female journalists who are widows, particularly their children.

Receiving the intervention, the Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Comrade Tola Gbadamosi, appreciated the Chief Press Secretary for sustaining the gesture.

Gbadamosi commended Adeniyan for taking the initiative into its eighth edition and for his consistent support for the children of late journalists and female journalists who are widows in the state.
