Aiyedatiwa commends Tinubu, security agencies over rescue of kidnapped Oyo pupils, teachers

Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and security agencies for the successful rescue of pupils and teachers kidnapped in Oyo State.

In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor, on behalf of the government and people of Ondo State, expressed profound relief and gratitude to God over the safe return of the victims.

Aiyedatiwa lauded President Tinubu for providing decisive leadership and the necessary support that facilitated a swift and coordinated response by security agencies involved in the operation.

He also commended the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Army, Amotekun Corps and local vigilante groups for their professionalism, bravery and collaboration in securing the release of the pupils and teachers.

According to the governor, the successful rescue of the victims underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians.

“The safe rescue of these pupils and their teachers is a victory for all of us and a testament to the commitment of the Federal Government to protect the lives and property of Nigerians,” he said.

Aiyedatiwa also congratulated Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on the development.

He reaffirmed Ondo State’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with neighbouring states and federal security agencies to prevent similar incidents and enhance the safety of schools across the region.

The governor also prayed for the speedy recovery of any of the victims who may have suffered trauma and assured that Ondo State stands in solidarity with the government and people of Oyo State.
