Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has been nominated for the Governor of the Year Award at the 2026 Silverbird Man of the Year Awards.
The announcement was made public on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The nomination was conveyed in a letter dated October 26, 2026, addressed to the governor by the Founder of Silverbird Group, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce.
In the letter, the media organisation congratulated Aiyedatiwa on his selection, describing the nomination as a recognition of his leadership and contributions to the development of Ondo State.
The organisers said the governor’s commitment to infrastructure development, education, healthcare and economic growth informed the recognition, which they described as a fitting tribute to his leadership and service to the state.
The letter read in part, “On behalf of Silverbird Group, I warmly congratulate you on your selection as a recipient of the 2026 Silverbird Governor of the Year Award. This recognition reflects our appreciation of your leadership and your contributions to the development of Ondo State.”
The award will be formally presented at the 20th edition of the Silverbird Man of the Year Awards scheduled for Monday, November 16, 2026, at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The ceremony is expected to commence at 5:00 p.m.
