Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has renamed the International Centre for Culture and Events, popularly known as The Dome, in Akure, after his predecessor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.
The governor announced the decision on Saturday during a birthday celebration organised in honour of the former governor in Abuja.
The facility will henceforth be known as the Dr Olusegun Mimiko International Centre for Culture and Events.
Mimiko, who governed Ondo State between 2009 and 2017, constructed the event centre during his administration.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
