APC Chieftain, Prince Aderosoye Congratulates, Advises Aiyedatiwa

Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress in Ifedore Local Government, Prince Aderosoye Emmanuel Fadola has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo Stare on his divinely paved position.

Prince Aderosoye also advised Governor Aiyedatiwa to eschew politics of vindictiveness and act like a father to all in Ondo State. He implored the governor not to dwell on whatever might have happened in the past. He advised the governor not to encourage rumour mongering and not yield rooms for emergency and fair weather friends.

The Ifedore APP stalwart also condoled with the people of Owo town and Ondo State people at large on the demise of former Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu. He prayed that God shall grant eternal repose to the departed soul of Aketi.

Speaking with newsmen in Akure on Wednesday, Aderosoye prayed that God shall grant Governor Aiyedatiwa the graceand wisdom needed to succeed in his new assignment as the pilot of Ondo State.

Aderosoye further said that Governor Aiyedatiwa had become the new father of Ondo State and it therefore behoves on him to be a father for all. He also urged the governor to engender an atmosphere of peace in Ondo State and to also endeavour to bequeath enduring lagacies to the Sunshine State.

“The new governor should encourage peace in Ondo Stare and then create a legacy that will last forever. It is also important to say that positions attract lots of people; the good, the bad and the ugly. Loyalty switches just as fast as the speed of light.

“‘I will give you an instance, when former President Goodluck Jonathan lost election in 2015, the presidential villa started getting deserted and as quickly as possible they pitched their tents with the then incoming President Muhammadu Buhari. The same scenario played out with Ambode in Lagos State after the primary elections. Loyalty immediately shifted to the then in-coming Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. I therefore implore Governor Aiyedatiwa not to get carried away by opulence of power and the expected influx of so called friends and advisers”.

Prince Aderosoye also urged Governor Aiyedatiwa to reflect on past events; especially how God had helped him to survive the battles that were waged against him, before he eventually became the governor through divine orchrstration. He equally advised the governor to be wary of self-seeking people that are quick to profess unyielding loyalty to him.

“‘I could clearly remember the FOWOSO 2020 event, which my NGO, Aderosoye Fadola Foundation supported. Immediately I noticed some anomalies, I called the attention of the then First Lady to them. I frankly told her that the people around her were there because of what they stand to gain. I also told her that the people would not hesitate to move to another camp should anything happen. This is exactly what has happened today”.

Prince Fadola further charged Governor Aiyedatiwa to safely and carefully paddle the ship of Ondo Stare with his native intelligence. He also urged the Governor to stay focused and not allow political jobbers to get him distracted. He likewise advised Aiyedatiwa to learn from the mistakes of his predecessor and also focus on landmark achievements and policies that are people friendly.

“‘Look back to how you ascended the governorship position and you will realize that it was divinely paved and not by your qualifications. Look back to the history of past leaders in the state from Baba Ajasin to your predecessor. Your concern should be what would the people say about you by the time you are out of office “.

Fadola recounted the frank advice he gave to Babajide Akeredolu when they met in Germany in June 2023. According to him, he warned Babajide to learn from history and desist from abuse of power. Aderosoye further said he urged Babajide to learn useful lessons from the conduct of Adegboyega Adefarati when his father held away as the Governor of Ondo State.

Aderosoye also advised Aiyedatiwa to put his trust in God who has brought him this far. He counselled that Aiyedatiwa would win the APC governorship ticket in April 2024 if it is the will of God. He however, urged the governor to be a good leader to all and not be a boss.

Meanwhile, Prince Aderosoye Fadola has pledged to remain a loyal and committed member of the APC irrespective of the situation.

” I have expended a lot of resources on the APC because the party mean so much to me. My loyalty has never been in doubt since the era of Alliance for Democracy (AD) and even till date. Even when I lost the House of Assembly primary elections, there were pressures on me to move to another party, but I said no. I can’t be in the opposition here in Ondo Stare and remain a member of APC in Lagos where I have my businesses and investments. I know so much about this party and I am truly in a position to give advise”, said Aderosoye.
