Assembly election: I’m confident of winning election —Ondo LP Candidate, Surv. Amodu-Atunbi

The Labour Party candidate for Akoko South West Constituency II, Surv. Atunbi-Amodu David, has expressed optimism that he would emerge victorious in the March 18 Gubernatorial and House of Assembly election.

Amodu said the coast was overly clear for him to clinch the legislative seat, noting that the upshot of the previous elections, most especially with the performances of Labour Party across the country, has lent a fillip of victory to his aspiration.

The House of Assembly hopeful who made this known in a statement sent to newsmen on Thursday, urged voters to vote for the Labour Party in the forthcoming election.

The statement partly read “I am not worried about anything because my victory is certain, even the oppositions are enmeshed in unending controversies over my growing popularity and robust public support.

“The overwhelming support from people in Supare, Akungba, Oba and Ikun, has clearly indicated that LP will defeat the All Progressives Congress, People’s Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party.

“Contrary to widespread speculation that I have stepped down from the race, i am using this seldom opportunity to tell the general public that the tale is far-fetched and deliberately concocted to deceive my ardent supporters, he said.
