The Ndigboamaka Progressive Market Association, the umbrella body of major market Associations in lagos has elected a New president and 14 other that will pilot the association for the next three years.

Delivering his acceptance speech shortly after the official swearing in of all the elected members into various offices, Comrade Chinedu Ukatu( fcism, MLasmac , Dip lat) The new President commended the electoral officers for conducting a peaceful, free and fair election.

The election which took place at the National Secretariat of the Association in Amuwo odofin Lagos in which the result was accepted by over 95% of the members.

According to the President who won with simply majority of votes cast while his opponent Ambassador Charles Okafor came second. Speaking to Trace News Magazine in an interview Comrade Chinefu Ukatu said “him and his elected members will hit the ground running in no distance time and that he will deliver all his campaign promises”.

Comrade Chinedu Ukati who is a member of Lagos State Market Advisory Council said “All sector of the various part of Nigeria will soon know that there’s an association called Ndigboamaka. l will make sure we have representative at Federal government level who will protect the interest of the traders . We are going to be Among the policy makers”.

Earlier in his speech the outgoing President of NIdigoamaka, Chief Dr Jude Ringo Okeke while expressing his gratitude for the opportunity giving to him to serve said he has full confident in the new President having served as his secretary.

He urged all other elected members to cooperate with Comrade Chinedu led executive, stressing that they shouldn’t abandon the Secretariat for the President only.

Obichukwu as P.R.O. Mr Marcel Ozonweke as Assistant P.R.O. Mr Ejike Metu as Organizing Secretary won . Mr. Augustine Omenyi as Chief Welfare . Mrs Ifeoma Azike won as Welfare 2. Mr.Ezekonna Rufus as Director of Contact & Mobilization . MR Ifediora. Ifesimeke as Chief Provost.

The new Executives were immediately sworn in by the legal Adviser Barr Ewelaku.
The President Hon Comrade Chinedu Ukatu in his acceptance speech said he will keep the ground running immediately. He appointed 2 Zonal Cordinators , Namely Hon Vincent Ikwueze who will be Zonal Cordinator for Zone 2 which comprises Alaba Intl market and environ. Mr Dennis igboanugo who will be the Zonal cordinator for Zone 3 been Agric Coker / abule ado/ odun ade/ Coker and environs.
