Free Water, Igunu, Agere Masquerades, Colourful Branding… How Adegoroye Mobilisef For Tinubu’s Rally In Akure

The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was in Akure, the Ondo State capital on Saturday for his campaign ahead of next month’s general elections.

The hugely successful campaign rally was attended by thousands of residents of the State, while the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, led eminent personalities in the State to welcome Tinubu and his entourage of governors and national party leaders to the State.

However, the event got a massive touch from the Minister of State for Transportation, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, who had set up a committee to handle activities that would complement the efforts of the State chapter of the party for the rally.

The touch included the deployment of five mini trucks for the distribution of free sachet water to those who attended the rally held at the Democracy Park along Oba Adesida Road in Akure.

Before the arrival of the presidential candidate and his entourage, Igunu and Agere masquerades, brought in from Abeokuta in Ogun State by the Minister’s team, entertained the people at the rally and added colour to the event.

There were also hundreds of supporters, dressed in yellow, singing and dancing at the Airport to welcome the presidential candidate and at the rally venue.

This was in addition to the colourful billboards and posters dotting the nooks and crannies of the state capital ahead of the rally, as well as the massive banners adoring the crane overlooking the rally venue.

The impact of the mobilisation by Prince Adegoroye was recognized at the rally as the anchor, Hon. Abike Dabiri, openly thanked the Minister for his efforts in adding glamour to the rally.

The Minister was with the governor and other personalities to welcome Tinubu at the airport, and also accompanied the candidate to the commissioning of the South West APC Campaign Office after the rally.
