NAGAFF President Commends Customs CGC Adewale Adeniyi for Resuscitating Neglected Conference
The President of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, has praised the efforts of Comptroller General Adewale Adeniyi (MFR) of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for reviving the CGC conference, which was neglected during the previous administration for eight years.
In a press release, NAGAFF President expressed gratitude, stating, “The entire NAGAFF family extends hearty congratulations to CGC Adeniyi for his intelligent, tenacious, and innovative leadership. We anticipate a successful CGC’s Conference taking place from December 13th to 15th, 2023.”
Recognizing CGC Adeniyi as a born leader with a cerebral demeanor and excellent human management skills, the NAGAFF President highlighted the legendary motivation among NCS officers and the desire of retired officers to return to service due to the notable performances of the different Units and Commands under Adeniyi’s watch in the past six months.
The theme for the 2023 CGC’s conference, “Leveraging Data Analytics for Secure and Efficient Trade Facilitation in Customs Operations,” aligns with the current challenges in the industry, particularly the neglect of the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ Presidential Order by Terminal operators and Shipping companies.
Emphasizing the significance of the CGC’s Conference as a platform for discussing vital issues related to the Service’s well-being, standards in customs operations, and efficiency, the NAGAFF President expressed confidence in the quality of Adeniyi’s leadership and his team’s contributions to the forum.
The CGC conference is currently taking place at the Orinter Hotel in Apapa, Lagos.
