National Awards for Kayode Ajulo, Owu-Kuta monarch well-deserve, —says Owa-Ale

A First Class monarch in Ondo State, the Owa-Ale of Ikare Akoko, HRM Oba Adeleke Adegbite-Adedoyin II, has felicitated two of the eminent Nigerians, HRM Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama and Barrister Kayode Ajulo on the recent conferment of national honours on them by the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari.

Oba Adekunle Makama, who is the Olowu of Owu-Kuta in Osun state, was conferred with the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON) while Chief Ajulo who is a famous Constitutional Lawyer and Human Right Activist, bagged the national award of Member of Order of Niger, OON.

In a Press Statement from his Palace in Ikare, the Owa-Ale notes that the honours on both the Osun monarch and the Ifira Akoko-born legal Icon are well-deserved, going by their antecedents and contributions to the development of the nation and humanity.

Oba Adedoyin expresses delight that government notices and appreciates modest contributions of traditional rulers like Oba Adekunle Makama especially his support for the military and his constant encouragement to Nigerians about the need to pray and co-orporate with security agencies to end insecurity in the country.

He also applauded the Olowu’s great philanthropic attribute which had earned many accolades and awards.

Owa-Ale also commended Dr Kayode Ajulo for making Akoko and Ondo State proud in law profession and for being an unrepentant apostle of an egalitarian society, which naturally earned him the national honour

The First Class Royal Father encourages the recipients of the National Awards to sustain their good deeds.

Oba Adedoyin however lauded the former President Muhammadu Buhari for recognising Oba Makama abd Dr Ajulo’s contributions to peace, unity and development of the country as well as their selfless services to humanity at community and national levels.
