Ogunleye tasks Ondo lawmakers to be focused

The Ondo State Senior Special Assistant Adviser (SSA) to the Governor Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu on Transportation,Hon.Barr. Tobi Ogunleye has congratulated the newly inaugurated Ondo House Assembly member representing Ifedore state constituency, hon. Barr. Tope Komolafe charged him to focus on the needs and aspirations of the people of his constituency.

The SSA made the charge while speaking with journalists in Akure the state capital after the inauguration of the 10th assembly at the assembly complex Alagbaka Akure

Ogunnleye while congratulating the lawmaker representing his constituency Ifedore, Hon Komolafe,the newly elected speaker, Rt.Hon. Olamide Oladiji,his Deputy, Hon Abayomi Akinruntan and other lawmakers in the state on their election as new 10th assembly lawmakers of the Ondo State house of Assembly charged them to avoid distractions and shun any instigated acrimony against the leadership and people of their constituency and ondo state at large.

He disclosed that Honorable Tope Komolafe took the floor and moved a motion to rally support for Honorable Oladiji Olamide (Landmark)as the Speaker of the House.

According to Barr Ogunleye,motion was motivated by the need to ensure equitable power rotation within the state, with Honorable Olamide being the only ranking member from the central senatorial zone.

The SSA said the primary responsibility of the lawmakers is to serve the interests of their people and do an excellent job to bring dividends of democracy to the door step of the citizenry.

Barr.Ogunleye stressed that the collaboration and cooperation between the legislative and executive arms of government are essential for the effective governance of the state and the delivery of services to the people of the state.

He later urge the lawmakers to prioritize the interests of the people of Ondo State and work towards achieving common goals with the governor by doing so, they are promoting the development and prosperity of the state and ensure that the needs and aspirations of the people are met.
