The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji (JP), has felicitated Muslim faithful across Ondo State and Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud celebration, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a goodwill message personally signed by him, Oladiji urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the Prophet, particularly his virtues of compassion, humility, sacrifice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
He described Eid-el-Maulud as an important occasion for renewed commitment to the values of peace, unity and mutual understanding, urging the faithful to uphold these virtues in their daily lives.
“I extend warm felicitations to you all on this joyous occasion. The auspicious celebration is no doubt a testament to the enduring values of compassion, peace and unity that Islam embodies,” he said.
The Speaker also commended the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what he described as his sincere efforts and interventions towards restoring peace, stability and unity in the State House of Assembly.
According to Oladiji, the Governor’s prompt interventions demonstrate his commitment to the overall development and progress of Ondo State.
He assured the people of the state that the House of Assembly would remain committed to the effective discharge of its constitutional responsibilities with dedication, maturity and a strong sense of duty.
Oladiji further pledged the Assembly’s continued support for initiatives and policies aimed at promoting good governance, peace, development and the wellbeing of the people.
He wished Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-el-Maulud celebration, praying that the occasion would bring abundant blessings, happiness and prosperity to their families and the people of Ondo State.
