Old Ijare-Ikere road reopened for vehicular movements— Dr Olojuolawe

The historic reopening of old Ijare -Ikere road has been credited to the efforts of indigenes of Ijare town in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State and staff of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere, Ekiti State (BOUESTI).

Dr Sunday Olojuolawe ,representative of Ijare community stated this while giving the rundown of the intervention and expenses in an interview with Trace online magazine appreciated the staff of BOUESTI who initiated the project and the support given towards the opening up of Ijare-Ikere road for vehicular movement.

Dr Olojuolawe in his appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Ifedore LGA, (Engr. Alex Oladimeji) and Mr. Ayodele Pius under the aeges of Dortmund Company further call the attention of Ikere people through the Ogoga in Council and the L.G Chairmen to intervene on the rough sections of the road at Ikere end .

According to Olojuolawe,the breakdown of the project (expenditure),the BOUESTI staff started the project and they spent Three Hundred and Thirty-Three Thousand Six Hundred Naira (N333,600.00) only before the intervention of Ijare sons and daughters.

He disclosed that one hundred and six people contributed and added value to the project in Ijare with the sum of Two Million, Five Hundred and Seven Thousand Naira (N2,507,000.00) only and over Two Million was expended on the road and left a balance of One Hundred and Ninety-One Thousand, Nine Hundred Naira (N191,900.00) Only.
