Omosehin felicitates Christians on Easter, calls on them to renew commitment service, sacrifice

As Christians across our nation mark Easter Sunday, Dele Omosehin has extended heartfelt felicitations to the people of Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency and the entire Christian community.

In a statement on his behalf by Asejere Media Team, on Sunday, Omosehin said, “Easter is not merely a celebration; it is a solemn reminder of the ultimate price paid for truth, justice, and redemption.”

He said that the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of our faith, speak powerfully to the values of sacrifice, courage, and victory over oppression.

Omosehin, who is the Lisa of Osooro, said that at a time when the country is grappling with insecurity and leadership challenges, among others, the message of Easter is both urgent and instructive.

According to the APC leading aspirant for the House of Representatives for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Christ did not shy away from confronting injustice, noting that, “He stood for truth, bore the burden of the people, and through sacrifice, delivered hope and restoration. This is the standard we must demand from leadership and the example we must all strive to follow.”

He called on Christians, and indeed all Nigerians, to rise beyond passive faith, urging them to actively imbibe the lessons of Easter by rejecting selfishness, speaking out against injustice, supporting righteous leadership, and committing themselves to the service of their communities.

“Our constituency needs leaders who understand sacrifice, who listen to the people, and who are prepared to put the collective good above personal gain. That is the spirit of Easter, which is service, responsibility, and transformative leadership,” he said.

He advised Christians to let the season ignite in them a renewed determination to build a society anchored on justice, equity, and shared prosperity.

“The resurrection of Christ assures us that no situation is beyond redemption. Nigeria shall rise. Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency shall rise, too,” he said.

Omosehin wished all Christians a purposeful, reflective, and blessed Easter celebration.
