Some residents of Owalusin community in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State, have declared their implicit support for the new administration of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
They threw their weight behind the Governor during a town hall meeting held yesterday where hundreds of the residents pledged to support the good initiatives of Aiyedatiwa.
Speaking at the meeting, a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Adeyeri Stephen, said the community unanimously decided to support the Aiyedatiwa led administration due to Governor’s it unwavering stance to stamp out suffering in the State.
Adeyeri also noted that the swift actions of the government channeled towards the masses, most especially the senior citizens, have sent a good signal that the Governor is bent on changing the ugly narrative in the state.
Adeyeri stated: “We have decided to support this new administration. Iwaro-Oka Community expresses wholehearted support for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
“We commend the Governor’s swift and decisive actions, particularly the prompt release of 1.2 billion for the payment of pensioners’ gratuities, demonstrating his commitment to the welfare of our elders.
“Furthermore, the Governor’s directive for contractors involved in road rehabilitation to promptly resume their duties underscores his dedication to infrastructure development, enhancing the overall well-being of our community.
“We stand united in endorsing Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s proactive leadership for the progress and prosperity of our region.”
However, Adeyeri maintained that he would tirelessly work to ensure that Aiyedatiwa gets the party’s ticket ahead of the gubernatorial election in the state.
Also speaking, the Olokija of Otalokija of Iwaro-Oka, Chief Bolorunduro Dele, described Aiyedatiwa as a Governor whose heart is filled with the milk of human kindness, stressing that the Community would not reneged on its support for the Governor.
Bolorunduro added that “I appreciate Aiyedatiwa for his timely initiatives, which have significantly contributed to the well-being and progress of our community. His proactive leadership has made a positive impact, and we are grateful for his commitment to the betterment of Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State”
