Ondo Assembly member, Oshati empowers constituents

In a bid to uplift his constituents, Hon. Olatunji Oshati (Maxima), the lawmaker representing Ose Constituency at the Ondo State House of Assembly, recently spearheaded an empowerment program benefiting over 300 individuals in Ose.

The event, which took place in Idoani, witnessed the distribution of various items aimed at bolstering the livelihoods of community members. Oshati also used the platform to rally support for Governor Aiyedatiwa, urging constituents to throw their weight behind the governor in the upcoming primary and gubernatorial elections.

Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly and Chairman of the occasion, lauded Hon. Oshati for his dedication to serving the people of Ose. He acknowledged Hon. Oshati’s efforts towards improving the state and his constituency, particularly highlighting concerns about the deplorable state of roads. Assuring the people of government’s attention to road infrastructure, he pledged to address the issue promptly.

Representing the governor at the event, Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami assured the people of Irekari of government’s commitment to addressing the deplorable state of the Oba-Ikun-Afo-Idoani road, aimed at facilitating transportation for farmers and commuters. He commended Hon. Oshati for his achievements since assuming office.

The empowerment program encompassed a range of support initiatives, including cash disbursements to petty traders, provision of educational materials to schools, distribution of Free JAMB/UTME forms to indigent students, and grants for agro-inputs to farmers. Additionally, assistance in the form of wheelchairs, crutches, and awards recognizing outstanding community members was extended.

The event witnessed the presence of senior government officials, former members of the House of Representatives, and various cabinet members. Royal fathers and party leaders also graced the occasion, affirming the collective commitment towards community development and progress.
