The Ondo State Government has set up a Technical Committee on the Olokola Free Trade Zone (OKFTZ) project to examine all legal, administrative and operational issues connected with the initiative and to advise the government on the appropriate way forward.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
The Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, formally announced the constitution of the committee on Monday.
The committee is chaired by Chief Bode Sunmonu, while Mr Emmanuel Omomowo, Chief Executive Officer of the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), will serve as secretary.
Other members of the committee are Barr. Yinka Orokoto; Mr Sola Adebisi; Mr Idowu Ojo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance; and Engr. Femi Akarakiri, Director, ONDIPA.
The committee is mandated to operate strictly within defined terms of reference, which include legal review, stakeholder engagement, land verification, community relations, inter-state coordination, and any other matters that may be referred to it by the state government.
