<a href="ondo: Police allegedly torture man to death A yet-to-be-identified man in Ore in the Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, on Wednesday died, after he was allegedly tortured by policemen. As reported by Hope Newspaper, the deceased died a day after he was released from the police cell.According to a source, the deceased who hailed from the eastern part of the country and others were raided on Saturday night at Evergreen Hotel, Akinjagula and was later released on Tuesday on bail.It was gathered that the police after torturing the deceased realized that his health condition has been affected negatively, immediately granted him bail at the sum of N5000 naira.The source also said, %E2%80%9CEvery other persons raided alongside the deceased were granted bail with the sum of N20,000 and was paid through a PoS machine stationed at the police station.The family of deceased after securing his bail on Tuesday took him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead after he complained of pains all over his body.On hearing about the death of the deceased, the family took the corpse to the the police station on Wednesday morning to express thier grievances over his death.It was also gathered that, the police however, shot sporadically into the air to scare them away in order not to cause another scenario at the station.Our correspondent who visited the scene gathered that the deceased was lying dead in the car at the front of the station.As at the time of filing this report, The scenario however caught the attention of residents within the area as members of his family were weeping profusely over the death of their loved one.All efforts to get the Police comment on the issue proved abortive as at the time of filing this report.The Hope">Ondo</a>: Police allegedly torture man to death
