Rotary Club Honours Aiyedatiwa for Selfless Service, Says Governor has raised the bar

The rotary club of Akure district 9125, has described the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as a leader who has raised the bar in governance with his various pro-poor programs, projects and policies since he assumed office.
President of the club, Rotarian Semiu Adigun, disclosed this in Akure while decorating the governor for ‘service above self’ award, at the club’s foundation luncheon and award presentation over the weekend.
He said “the rotary club has been watching developments in Ondo state for a while and has decided to honour Governor Aiyedatiwa for his unprecedented leadership role and immense contribution to make Ondo state a true place of pride, within the shortest time he has been at the helm of affairs”.
Aiyedatiwa, who was represented by his deputy, Olayide Adelami, thanked the organizers for the honour, and for recognizing the impact his government is making in the lives of the people of Ondo state.
According to him, “I receive this honour with deep gratitude and great humility. This is an award that speaks to our highest aspirations and service to humanity. We will not rest on our oars.
“As a government, our commitment to people-centered initiatives is unwavering. From education to healthcare, infrastructure to urban renewal, peace and security, we have designed programs and policies that will ensure we serve our people better.”
The deputy governor, while speaking with newsmen at the end of the event, assured the club of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s continued support for service organizations like the Rotary Club, saying its philosophy aligns with that of the governor, which is to make the world a better place.
