SPDPA 1990 set lauds Smart Omodunbi’s appointment as SA Political Matters

The old students of St Peters Demonstration Primary School Akure, 1990 set has lauded the appointment of one of them, Smart Omodunbi as Special Assistant Political Matters to the Ondo State Governor His Excellency Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa.
This appreciation message was delivered in his office at Governor’s office Alagbaka Akure during a courtesy visit by the old students of SPDPA 1990 set.
Mr Tope Ogunrinde who spoke on behalf of the 1990 alumni extolled the good virtues of the Special Assistant that has made him deserving of the appointment. He said ” Smart has always been hardworking, dogged, resilient and an open-minded person since our days in school. Whatever he sets his mind to, he would always pursue.”
Ogunrinde, who was the head boy while in school, encouraged the SA to continue to be who he is, not to rest on his oars as there are better things still waiting for him. He appreciated him for his support to the alumni and implored him to do more for the school in the spirit of giving back to his alma-mater. He prayed to God in His infinite mercy to grant the SA a successful tenure.
In his response, Omodunbi, heartily appreciated the friends of SPDPA 1990 set for the courtesy visit and for their prayers at all times. He acknowledged their numerous congratulatory messages on his recent appointment by the Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa and prayed that such spirit of oneness will never cease to exist in their midst. He expressed gratitude specifically to all present, finding time to pull out from their various commitments to honor him and rejoice with him on his appointment. He noted that it was indeed an opportunity of a brief reunion considering the large turn out.
The SA appreciated God for all He has done and thanked the state Governor for finding him worthy amongst several for the position. He said ” I was not expecting any form of appointment at all. The announcement came as a big surprise to me till today. All that I have been doing was done in good faith and spirits not for the expectation of any reward or appointment”
Mrs Folashade Oladeinde in her vote of thanks was deeply grateful to God for His benevolence and equally appreciated members for their commitment at all times, especially coming together at a very short notice. She thanked the SA for receiving them at a very short notice despite his busy schedule and wished him greater things ahead, She implored all members to remain in love and unity and prayed that elevations shall always be celebrated in their midst.
