Human Rights Activist and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council for Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Dr. Tunji Abayomi has described former President, Chief Olusegun Obsanjo as an ordinary Nigerian who has the right to endorse any Candidate of his choice but I expect him to endorse an All Progressives Congress Candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu who is determined to restore Nigeria’s fortune and aspirations

Abayomi in a statement issued in Akure, the Ondo State Capital today said there was nothing unexpected, nothing strange, nothing new in President Obasanjo’s opinion letter.

The Constitutional lawyer said let me simply say this that to the youths of Nigeria, this country (Nigeria) needs a leader who can carry her weighty challenges whether economic, security, transformation, education or unity.

His words: “Nigeria needs more than the capacity to roll her weight on the unsmooth concrete ground. A wise man with perceived delicate vitality should be preferable to a low rated calculator that lacks depth. To choose the second option is a way of death for a nation in urgent need to arise.

“I certainly will cast my vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu so will my household. I urge you to join me to elect one determined man that i know for a great Nigeria

“In my view President Obasanjo is entitled to his opinion just as he’s entitled to endorse a candidate he favors. But why should i expect him to support an APC Candidate?

“He ruled as PDP President. Why should anyone hope for his support for the PDP Candidate? He has always maintained, even in permanent written record, the indelible stain characteristic of PDP Candidate’s public life. So there is nothing unexpected, nothing strange, nothing new in President Obasanjo’s opinion letter.

“I respect President Obasanjo and i supported him before and during his reign as President. Today on the same principle of sacrifice, sense, voice and vision, capability and capacity, outreach and stretch and in particular depth and innovativity , I will support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President.

“Just as President Olusegun Obasanjo won when we supported him while others turned against him, Bola Tinubu will also win. The truth is Tinubu will win for the growth and development of Nigeria. He knows that there is nothing left for his essential time than to make Nigeria great”, Abayomi added
