SOWSEC Celebrates 10th Anniversary In Grand style

It was carnival like at Soul Winning Spiritual Evangelical Church (SOWSEC) on Sunday, 7th of May, 2023 as the church held the 10th year church anniversary and thanksgiving service.

The General Overseer of the Church, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, in his welcome address, appreciated God Almighty for making the anniversary a success, stressing that 10 years is not an easy journey.

“About 45 years ago, a prophesy came from Apostle Obadare that I’d become a minister of God but I didn’t take it seriously because my father was an herbalist. I thank God today that I took the call and followed God Almighty. Things have been so smooth since I agreed to follow Him”.

Oleyelogun, however, urged anyone who has a calling to heed to the call and never turn a deaf ear.

He also charged the incoming law makers to be God fearing, have the mindset that they are being sent by the people to represent them and also, have enough patience.

In his remarks, the deputy governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa congratulated the General Overseer and the entire member of the church on the success of the church’s 10th anniversary.

According to him, the role of of the church in national development cannot be overemphasized because the church is a spiritual center where lives are also been developed, where values are being taught and where prayers are made.

“It is a place where people’s mind are being renewed, it is a place where people are being taught to be civil, to love and where there is love, there will be development”.

“Development is about people and not just the land, it is the people that will development the land”.

In his homily, Pastor Timothy Adeleke who spoke from the book of Genesis 12, said that God has a lot of promises for us, therefore there are steps to take for those promises to come to pass, part of which are; following God’s directions and having a kind heart.

Speaking on the theme of the anniversary, ” Fulfilment of God’s promises”, Pastor Adeleke revealed that while waiting for God’s promises to come to pass, one must have faith and always give thanks”.

The event had in attendance, top government officials, Ondo law makers including their wives, House of Assembly staff, The Asarun of Isarun in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State, among other dignitaries.
