Tinubu: Ondo traditional rulers laud Akeredolu’s efforts

The Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas and the Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi has congratulated Sen. Bola Tinubu, on his emergence as the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Oba Aladelusi, who spoke on behalf of the state traditional rulers in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deji, Mr Michael Adeyeye, on Tuesday in Akure, described the victory as well deserved.

The king added that the victory was commendable considering the fact that the election was keenly contested as it was reflected in the pattern of votes across the country.

According to him, it is a victory for Nigerians and indeed a renewed hope that Nigerians can keep conventional promise of a rotational presidency which is a reflection of fairness, equity and justice.

“Your track records and credentials of progressivism, patriotism with commitment to democratic tenets over the years are a sound and clear testimony of your proven capacity as a nationalist to lead our nation to economic recovery and make it the true giant of Africa and the pride of the black race,” Oba Aladelusi said.
He therefore, urged the President-elect to live up to expectation of his renewed hope mantra by renewing the hope of every Nigerian who had almost given up on Nigeria.

“This is evident in the mass exodus of our youths and Professionals in search of a greener pasture,” he said.
The king asked the president-elect to re-unite every Nigerian who had been sharply divided along tribal and religious sentiments.

“There is no doubt that our nation is faced with myriads of challenges, however, there is a renewed faith in the capacity of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to bring positive development to the Country,” he said.

In the same vein, Oba Aladelusi lauded the state Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for his resilience and commitment to democracy and the welfare of the people of the state.

He described the governor as a man of integrity who would always keep to his words even in the face of adversity and uncertainty.

Aladetoyinbo prayed for God’s guidance of the President-elect as the nation looks forward to better assured days
