Some women under the auspices of Akoko Muslim Women (AMW), have endorsed a member representing Akoko North East and North West Federal Constituency, Hon Bunmi-Tunji-Ojo, for a second term ahead of the 2023 general election.

The women unanimously endorsed the lawmaker at a one-day seminar organized by the Council for Islamic Affairs (CIA) in Okeagbe, Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The seminar jointly organized by the Akoko North East and North West chapters of CIA on Tuesday, was tagged —“Role of Muslim Women in Nation Building”.

One of the women leaders, Alhaja Maryam Aminu, said the endorsement became necessary following the matchless performance of BTO in the green chamber in the last four years adding that the lawmaker had immensely supported the Muslim community during Ramadan, Iftar programs among others.

Aminu expressed optimism that if Bunmi-Tunji-Ojo is elected, he will creditably perform more than his first term in office which many have tagged “unsurpassable” in the chronicle of the Federal Constituency.

However, another leader, Alhaja Falilat Ahmed, noted that the women would not reneged on their firm support for the lawmaker, whom she said, had endeared himself to the public through his sheer magnanimity and commitment to community development.
